Prof.Samuel Maina Githigia (PhD – Veterinary Parasitology UoN, MSc. Veterinary Parasitology UoN, BVM, UoN) .The current Chairman of the Department of Veterinary Pathology, Microbiology and Parasitology (2016 – to date). He is an Associate Professor of Veterinary Parasitology and has taught and conducted research in the department since 1989.

COMESA workshop in Uganda

The aim of the workshop was to offer training and build capacity on
aflatoxin sampling, ISO 17025 laboratory requirements, COMESA aflatoxin
proficiency testing scheme and co-regulation of aflatoxin-safe labelling.
This activity is part of a larger goal of developing a mutual recognition
framework for aflatoxin control that is being introduced within COMESA
