COVID 19 CHAMPIONS TRAINING

The Office of the Dean of Students and Career Services in partnership with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO)'s UHS-ICEC Section would like us to train 300 Covid-19 Champions from six colleges (50 from each college x 6 colleges) on Thursday 25 February 2021 from 10.00am. A virtual link will be sent to you upon registration. 

UNIVERSITY CONTINUES TO RANK TOP REGIONALLY

Over the years, the University of Nairobi has been ranked among the top universities in Africa and the world.

On whichever platform be it Times Higher Education (THE) Ranking or Webometrics that has been consistently releasing results, the University of Nairobi has continued to stay in the top 10% bracket.

Recently, the Webometrics ranking released in January 2021 placed the UoN at Position 1 in Kenya and East Africa, Position 13 in Africa, and 1052 in a total of over 30,000 universities ranked globally.

REFUGEE STUDENTS TO BENEFIT FROM UON, UNHCR AND WIK PARTNERSHIP

University of Nairobi refugee students are set to benefit from the DAFI Scholarship Program as a result of the partnership between the institution, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and Windle International Kenya (WIK).

FRESHERS REPORT FOR ON-CAMPUS LEARNING

First year students 2020/21/22 Academic Year have finally reported to campus for face to face learning.

The students who have practical lessons were admitted to the Colleges of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences, Architecture and Engineering, Biological and Physical Sciences, Health Sciences and all students pursuing sciences in the College of Education and External Studies.

Out of the numerous universities globally, UoN has been recognized for the outstanding performance and active collaboration with Huawei to develop ICT Talent.

PPE’S DONATION TO UON’S COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCE

Equity Group Foundation and the Kenya COVID-19 Fund Board have commenced the distribution of the second consignment of locally manufactured personal protective equipment (PPE) to public hospitals across all 47 counties in Kenya including all final year medical and dental students from 11 universities with medical and dental schools, as part of its sustained efforts to protect medics from the COVID-19 virus.
