UON WEE HUB ADOPTS PRIORITY AGENDA 2022-2025

Tuesday July 5, 2022; the delegates officially adopted the 12 point priority agenda for Women Economic empowerment (WEE) 2022-2025, The Chief Guest Associate Vice Chancellor, Research, Innovation and Enterprise Prof. Margaret Hutchinson unveiled the Priority Agenda for Women Economic Empowerment and rallied the women delegates to take positions of leadership and decision making as well as be part of resource mobilization, distribution and utilization; saying “this agenda is informed by research and its going to liberate the African woman.

UoN FOUNDATION OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED

The University of Nairobi officially launched the University of Nairobi Foundation on Thursday, 30th June 2022 at 5:30PM at the Great Court. The Foundation is part of the reform agenda the University is implementing aimed at transforming the University into a vibrant, relevant and sustainable University. This Launch marks the first step of a journey of great transformation and impact for the University.

DRUG CHALLENGES IN HEALTH AND HUMANITARIAN CRISIS

The University of Nairobi (UoN) joined the world in commemorating the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADA) on 24th June, 2022

The virtual event was held under the theme: Addressing drug challenges in health and humanitarian crisis.

In his address, UoN Vice Chancellor Prof. Stephen Kiama said the issue of alcohol and drug abuse is a reality at the University affecting both staff and students posing a risk to their livelihoods.
