TWO-YEAR MASTER OF SCIENCE IN ONE HEALTH AND EMERGENCY RESEARCH ETHICS (MOHERE) (REGULAR PROGRAMME) 2023/2024 ACADEMIC YEAR
PROGRAMME TITLE: Master of Science in One Health and Emergency Research Ethics
LEVEL OF PROGRAMME: Graduate Level (MSc)
AIM OF THE MSc IN ONE HEALTH AND EMERGENCY RESEARCH ETHICS PRORAMME
The programme aims to produce high calibre individuals who ensure ethical planning, conduct, review, and regulation of One Health and emergency research in addition to provision of consultancy services in ethical implementation of public health interventions at the human, animal and environmental interface.
EMPLOYMENT PROSPECTS
Upon completion, graduates may be employed as Bioethicists providing technical support to the many, and growing, Institutional Ethics Review committees in Kenya and throughout the sub-region. Hence, graduates may be employed in: Universities; Research Institutions; National and County Governments; Regulatory bodies; Hospitals; and, in Clinical trial sites.

ADMISSION OPEN TO
Individuals in government ministries, departments, and agencies, private institutions, health institutions, educational/research institutions, and international agencies as well as local Non-governmental Organizations.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must possess:
1). A first degree in Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing sciences, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine; or a first degree (a minimum of Upper Second-Class Honors) in any of the following areas of study: Basic and Applied Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, Environmental Health, Biological and Biomedical Sciences, Public Health, and Law
2). Have either a minimum of two years of relevant work experience post degree, a professional qualification in the stated or other relevant areas, OR a Postgraduate Diploma in a relevant area for those with Lower Second-Class Honors; or,
3). Three years of relevant post degree experience or a Postgraduate Diploma for those with a Pass degree.
