On his part, Mr. Gatagama noted that UoN is a very strong brand and NMG is proud to be associated with it. He praised UoN for dealing firmly with the issue of fake certificates.

The Nation Media Group accepted to support the University of Nairobi Foundation campaign by giving media value equivalent of Kenya shillings 2 million. The support will go a long way in creating awareness and influencing stakeholders especially the Alumni to donate to the endowment fund.

The VC and the NMG CEO agreed to open a new area of partnership in supporting the growth of Small and Micro Enterprises in Kenya.  The SMEs, Gatagama said, should tap on the abundant talents at the University of Nairobi to prosper.
