Students Academic from Other Universities,Middle Level Colleges and Technical Institutions in the Department allows students to have a hands on practical skills in the areas of Veterinary Pathology, Microbiology and Parasitology which are very necessary as they pursue their courses not only in field of Veterinary Medicine
Kenya Technical Trainers College (KTTC) Students on Thursday 24th October 2019, Visited the dept of Vet.Pathology, Microbiology and Parasitology for an academic trip whereby they were taken through practical demonstrations in Pathology Microbiology and Parasitology section.
In Pathology section, they were demonstrated on Postmortem procedures, Embedding technique, tissue sectioning and microtomy and histopathological staining.
In Microbiology section they were taken through bacteriological media preparation, bacterial culture and isolation, biochemical testing, staining techniques and later sterilization and disinfection
In Parasitology section they were demonstrated on parasitological techniques like Macmaster technique, floatation technique and helminthes identification.
Later on the students were taken to the Incinerator where they were taken through incineration process of different kinds of waste form different departments and also from our large animal PM room
