EXCHANGE PROGRAM
1. United States Department of Agriculture Faculty Exchange Program (USDA-FEP) fellowship
Dr. Okumu P.O was awarded a United States Department of Agriculture Faculty Exchange Program (USDA-FEP) fellowship in 2016. He was based at Michigan State University, College of Veterinary Medicine (Diagnostics Centre for Population and Animal Health (DCPAH). During the fellowship he participated in research and training activities geared towards building his hands-on capacity in teaching and diagnostics. He got a chance to experience the contemporary state of veterinary medicine and veterinary education in the U.S.
2. Leaders in Innovation Fellowships program,
Dr. P.O Okumu was an awardee of the 2020 Leaders in Innovation Fellowships (LIF) program offred by The Royal Academy of Engineering. He attended a 2-week residential training in London, United Kingdom between 18th -31st January 2020. The fellowship is a capacity building program tailored for researchers to promote entrepreneurship and commercialization of their research. The program enabled him to establish international networks of innovators and technology entrepreneurs.
