Monday 25th February 2026, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine was pleased to receive a delegation from the University of Liège, Belgium, for a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening academic collaboration and fostering institutional
partnerships.
The delegation engaged in fruitful discussions with the Faculty leadership and academic staff on areas of
mutual interest, including research collaboration in assisted reproductive technologies, and joint grant
opportunities form various stakeholders.
The visit also provided an opportunity to showcase the two Faculty’s teaching facilities, research
laboratories, and ongoing community outreach initiatives.
Both institutions expressed their commitment to deepening cooperation in veterinary education and
research through the development of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), coupled with a shared
vision of advancing animal health, public health, and scientific innovation. The Faculty looks forward to
building a sustainable partnership that will enhance knowledge exchange and create opportunities for
both universities.
