THIKA T.T.I STUDENTS EDUCATIONAL TRIP 12-10-2022

Thika T.T.I. Students visited the Department of Vet.Pathology, Microbiology and Parasitology on 12th October 2022.

The Chairman of the Dept. and the Chief Technologist made a welcome remarks.

The students visited two sections i.e. Histopathology and Parasitology Sections.

In the two sections, the students were take through the following practical demonstration;

1. Histopathology Techniques ie

• Receiving of Carcass in PM
• Tissue Processing
• Embedding
• Microtomy and Staining.
• Electron and Light Microscopy

2. Parasitological Techniques i.e.

• Specimen Collection, Transportation & Preservation
• Direct Smears
• Macmaster Technique
• Sedimentation Technique
• Floatation Technique
