Prof. Bebora (Microbiologist, Dept. of Veterinary Pathology, Microbiology & Parasitology) receives an Award under the Category of Long service Awards (Over 30 years) for the Teaching Member of Staff

The University of Nairobi held its first ever Annual staff award ceremony to recognize staff with distinguished long service, exemplary performance through staff appraisal and performance contract.

College of Agriculture and Veterinary Science was awarded in the best performing college category while Wangari Maathai Institute was awarded in the best performing Institute Category.

Long Service Awards Category

Teaching Members of Staff who have served for over 30 years and above

Prof Samuel Kuria Mbugua from the department of Food Science and Technology, Prof. Lilly Bebora from the Department of Veterinary Pathology, Microbiology & Parasitology and Prof.Willis Oluoch Kosura, Department of Agricultural Economics were awarded.

Non-Teaching Members of Staff who have served for over 30 years and above

Mr. Ezekiel Hongo Weda, from the Department of Veterinary Pathology, Microbiology & Parasitology received the award.

Outstanding performance through staff appraisal and performance contract FY 2016/2017

Non-Teaching Staff who received the award for Outstanding performance are Mr.Nicholas Owino, Chief ICT Officer CAVS, Mr. Stephen Kirwa Kimeli, The college Bursar, Principal’s office and Mr.Johnson Nduhiu Gitahi, Chief Technologist, Department of Public Health Pharmacology & Toxicology. Others are Caroloine Huria, Administrative Assistant, Principals office CAVS, Justus Kipchirchir Turgut, Technologist, Department of Food Science and Technology and Josephine Jepkosgei Sutter, Procurement Office. Joan Tsikhulo Waluvengo, William Koli Atolwa and Mary K. Obwori also received the award
