BEST TEACHER FOR THE YEAR 2016
The students have nominated Prof. Ndichu Maingi for the award of best teacher 2016 in the department of Veterinary Pathology, Microbiology and Parasitology.
Ruforum collaborative meeting held on 15th April 2016 in the Dept. of Clinical Studies Board room, (CAVS).The meeting was held to discuss MSc students research protocols and the budget.
The Department of Veterinary Pathology and Microbiology (VPMP) has procured a kit to test for the presence of antimicrobial and aflatoxins in Milk. The Kit has been acquired through an initiative between Drs. C. G. Gitao of the Department of VPMP and Craig McConnell of Colorado State University. Read more

Teaching and examination procedure in University of Nairobi requires that all examinations are moderated by internal and external examiners. This is done so that quality services are offered in the examination process. Prof Sam Kariuki, the recently appointed External examiner for microbiology in the DVPMP participated in the examination process in the last semester ending December 22, 2015. Prof. Sam Kariuki is the Director Center for Microbiology Research KEMRI.
